At a time when the Afghan population is uniting to rebuild the country, the association Enfants Afghans seeks to give a specific and significant contribution to this effort, in the field of medicine, for the benefit of children and their mothers.

The creation of the Mother and Child Hospital is being conducted in close collaboration with Afghan health authorities because it will be part of their Public Health Program, which will focus on both the construction of medical facilities and the training of health-care professionals.
This 300-bed facility will enable doctors to treat their patients with the best medical care. In order for the reconstruction efforts to succeed promptly, training sessions will be set up to improve the qualification and specialization of the indispensable medical and paramedical staff.
The cost of the project is estimated at US$ 11 millions and will be entirely financed by the generosity of the international community. The Afghan authorities have graciously offered Enfants Afghans a hectare of land for the construction of the hospital on the site of the Ali Abad medical school and hospital complex in Kabul.
