The Design Concept The proposed architectural plans are centred around the principle of flexibility. In fact, the Hospital is aimed at being constructed trough several successive phases. The idea behind is : to expand medical and accommodation facilities in the future to respond to changing priorities as they are agreed upon with Afghan authorities The Mother and Child Hospital is now composed of 100 beds (phase 1). When all of the phases of the construction are completed, the capacity will approximately be of 300 beds.   Design Concept
